Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
In short
Use DrivewayIQ for real design work, on your own account, without attacking or copying it.
Do not present its outputs as certification or approval, and do not tell anyone a standards body or council endorsed them.
This summary is provided for convenience and is not part of the agreement. Where it differs from the full text below, the full text applies.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses the DrivewayIQ website or application.
1. Do not misrepresent what an output is
This is the rule we care most about. You must not:
- present a DrivewayIQ output as a certification, an approval, a compliance certificate, an engineering assessment, or professional advice;
- state or imply that a design has been certified, approved, endorsed or reviewed by DrivewayIQ, by any standards body, by any council or government agency, or by any vehicle manufacturer;
- remove, obscure or alter the rule pack record, provenance note or any other qualifying statement on an exported drawing so that the drawing reads as a compliance verdict; or
- present estimated figures — including underbody clearance heights — as measured or manufacturer-published values.
See our Disclaimer for what each output actually is.
2. Accounts
- Do not share an account between people, or let anyone else sign in as you.
- Do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge, or use false details.
- Do not use the service if we have terminated your account, including through a new account.
- Do not attempt to obtain paid features without a current subscription or trial.
3. Technical misuse
- Do not probe, scan, penetration-test or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, another customer's data, or our infrastructure.
- Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-extract the vehicle dataset, the rule packs, or any substantial part of the site or application, by any automated means.
- Do not place unreasonable load on the service, circumvent a rate limit, or use it in a way that degrades it for other customers.
- Do not upload malware, or attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the service.
- Do not reverse engineer or decompile the software except to the extent the law expressly permits.
Found a security vulnerability? Please report it to Contact@drivewayiq.com.au before disclosing it publicly, and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith, does not access or exfiltrate other people's data, and does not degrade the service.
4. Competing use
- Do not resell, sublicense or provide the service to third parties as a service of your own.
- Do not use the service, its data or its outputs to build, train or benchmark a competing product or dataset.
Using DrivewayIQ on projects you deliver to your own clients is exactly what it is for, and is not competing use.
5. Content you enter
- Do not enter unlawful, infringing, defamatory or offensive content into project names, notes or support messages.
- Do not enter other people's personal information — client names, addresses, contact details — into project fields unless you need to and are entitled to. The application does not need it to do its work.
- Do not enter personal, client or confidential information into the website assistant.
6. How we enforce this
Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Where the conduct threatens the security, integrity or lawful operation of the service, or another person's rights, we may suspend access immediately and investigate afterwards. Serious or repeated breaches can result in termination under clause 14 of the Terms.
7. Changes
We may update this policy without the notice period that applies to the Terms, so that we can respond to new forms of misuse. Updates will not change the commercial terms of your subscription, which can only be varied under clause 15 of the Terms. The date at the top of this page records when it was last changed.
8. Contact
Questions, or reporting misuse: Contact@drivewayiq.com.au.
